Let’s Battle With The Negativity That's Dwelling In Our Minds!

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
Today’s blog post has nothing to do with fancy products, elaborate skincare or any of the usual topics which I talk about. And though I should ideally be researching on relevant keywords right now, I’m skipping upon everything that breaks my flow of creativity; because first and foremost, I started blogging to vent out my desire to scribble. It could potentially be due to my INTJ personality type which hinders me from undergoing everyday things such as human interaction!
INTJ is a personality type that is rare to find, particularly in women and people falling under this type are a bundle of paradox. For instance, we can be imaginative but practical as well; swayed with ambition but we keep our lives pretty much private; also we are highly curious beings who merely like to observe human behaviour.
Keeping aside the deviations – Negative thoughts are quite frequent in every human being, despite their personality type. Before we begin with one …

What’s On My Bedside Table? (Sleeping Essentials)

“Sleep is the best meditation”
As stated by Dalai Lama, sleep plays a vital role in the proper functioning of our brain, mind, heart and soul. However, with so many thoughts and deadlines pre-occupying our mind, the first thing we do is to cut down on our sleep, little realizing that it may lead to insomnia in the longer run. Thus, sleeping at least 6-8 hours is a must! Today, I will be sharing with you a couple of things that I like to keep on my bedside table to soothe down my senses and refrain random thoughts from disturbing my sleep. So, without further adieu, let's begin with the blog post. 😊😊

Aromatic Candles Personally, I’m very much fond of candles. So much so that I hoard them in abundance but avoid lighting them!! An aromatic candle aids your senses to turn off from the overworking mind and bringing it into the present moment. If you happen to have a candle with lavender fragrance, then I must tell you that it helps in sleeping a lot better (tried and tested by people ac…

5 Ways To Rekindle The Fire Of Your Creativity? Inspirational Series #1

“Creativity Takes Courage” -Henri Matisse

Before starting off with today's post, please take note that every time the term - painter, musician, writer and poet is used, it is directed towards artists in general 😊 Any field which requires creativity is significantly dependent on how an artist motivates herself/ himself for creating what she/he is best at! In short, self-motivation and being surrounded with inspirational sources is a must for us. The least we'd want is a monotonous routine with a monotonous sort of work which creates cobwebs around our creativity or encapsulate us in a rigid pattern that cannot be altered with time.
When I was pursuing my graduation, I had a clear vision about what I wanna be once I am done with my education. A student of literature, I was highly fascinated with texts that dealt with the theme of metaphysical. "Meta" means beyond and of-course "physical" denotes for things which we can see or feel through our sensory organs. I…

Pumpkin Seeds Benefits + How to Include them in Your Diet?

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
Few days back, I encountered a discussion wherein the realisation dawned upon me that until and unless I’m paying a good attention to my health in general, none of the efforts would be worth reaping fruits. For instance, if I keep cutting down on my “me-time” in order to generate more blog posts, chances are that it may exert my body. And when I’d genuinely feel struck by the bow of Creativity Gods/Muses, I might fail to jot down my thoughts because of a weak body.
Makes sense? I hope it does.
This is also one of the reasons why, I’ve curtailed upon the quantity of posts generated. The idea is to post about things and products that I feel connected to. After all, numbers don’t really matter now. It’s the continuous effort from my end which I’d take into account and feel more happy about. With so much being instilled in my mind, today I decided to post about pumpkin seeds. In the west, healthy lifestyle was adopted long ago, although, we hav…
