Mini Thailand Skincare Haul + First Impressions!

Hi Guys,
Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

In case you aren’t following me on Instagram, you’re losing out on several updates about skincare, travelling and a lot that you ought to know about me to find these blog posts relatable. You can check out my profile HERE (if you are interested). 😊😊

A couple of weeks ago, I went on a Thailand trip, along with my colleagues, and I had a lot of memorable moments. The whole trip was quite eventful; I was strolling through Walking Street and ended up getting lost in Pattaya while going back to the hotel. During this trip, there was a moment when I almost got drowned. And after coming out of that sea, I discovered a new fascination for tanning that I developed all over my body. 😍 In short, I had a good time and everything was worth remembering! 😄

Apart from bringing small gifts for friends, family and acquaintances, I also purchased some skincare products, which I assumed would fit into my suitcase without any obstacle at the airport. (P.s. I was stopped at the security check because I accidentally forgot to remove water bottles from my bag and I had two of them with me. 😅😂) And during my experience at different markets and 7 Eleven stores, I had two friends who were kind enough to not judge my fascination towards skincare items. To be honest, one of them knew about my secret life of a product reviewer while the other had no clue about it. 🙈

Anyways, let’s begin with my mini skincare haul. Shall we?

Scentio Pink Collagen Radiant & Firm - Oil Control Facial Foam Scrub
Facial foam mild scrubbing with a soft touch for cleansing the skin. The mild scrub bead helps for soft peeling and reducing oiliness of the skin; the combination of collagen from starfish that helps soften your skin; tomato that acts as an antioxidant, soften your skin; and 4 types of Hyaluronic acid that help to retain moisture as well as providing firmness, more elastic and glowing appearance to the skin and minimizes the pores.

My Experience:
When I recently realized the importance of keeping the pores clean and gunk-free, I incorporated the Neutogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub into my skincare regime. It is a mild scrub, with very fine scrubbing granules, which foams well and manages to exfoliate your skin gently. It also leaves your skin squeaky clean as if you’ve also used a facial cleanser. Although I am not using it on a regular basis but I make sure to pick this up on the day when I have a face full of makeup.

Since I had a nice experience with that product, I took no time to pick up the Scentio Pink Collagen Radiant & Firm - Oil Control Facial Foam Scrub. To be honest, it performs just like the earlier mentioned product. It lathers well, has few exfoliating granules and it leaves the skin looking radiant and oil-free without making it extremely dry. Personally, I am happy that I picked this up! 😁

Rating: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Buy Online: It's not available on Indian e-commerce websites but you can grab it from HERE. However, other products from this brand are available on Flipkart HERE. (Please note, I haven't validated the authenticity of the products on Flipkart and the link is provided only for your convenience.)

Jenny Sweet Vit C + Snail Brightening Skin Serum

Ingredients: Aqua, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylate, Crosspolymer-11, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Triethylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Allantoin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricarai) Flower Extract, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Hyalluronic Acid, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Cl 19140, Cl 14720

My Experience:
When I was strolling through the alleys of the beauty store, I encountered this serum and seeing the ingredient niacinamide, I knew it's going directly into my cart. Niacinamide in skin care products helps in regulating oil, reducing inflammation, treating hyperpigmentation and acne, minimizing the appearance of pores, and protecting against exposure to the sun. In case you are using a niacinamide-based product for the first time, please note that it might lead to skin purging, which happens because it increases the skin cell turnover. So, acne that is embedded deep inside your skin will come to the surface to completely cleanse the skin. However, this process clears up within 6 to 8 weeks and then you’d see better skin. To know more, you can read this article here.

Since day 1, Jenny Sweet Vit C + Snail Brightening Skin Serum has been faring extremely well on my skin. I follow up this serum after cleansing and toning my skin with Innisfree Bija Trouble Skin Toner. It makes the skin soft and supple to touch. Last night, I just applied this serum and today I noticed slight difference in my pustules. Overall, I’m really enjoying using this serum and secretly hoping that this product does not die up on me! 🙈🙈

Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Buy Online: I don’t think I’d rely on ebay for purchasing products but it is only available HERE.

I was willing to buy more products but the thought that they might not fit into my luggage and the fear that my parents will be like “Madam got more skincare from Thailand, as if Indian brands weren’t enough”. This made me keep back a lot of things which I now regret not buying. 😂

Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness 😂😂
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.
Let’s dive into the review without any digressions!

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!
