Fab Bag January 2020: The Double Dibs Edition | Unboxing & 10% off Coupon Code

Hi guys,
Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

It might be the starting of the year 2020, your humble writer friend, i.e. Me, is still the same as the last year, bringing at your service the Fab Bag January 2020 Edition unboxing like every other month!

“So what is new this year?”

My enthusiasm, a chilled perspective and calm as well as a thoughtful mindset, which is willing to open her favourite subscription box and unravel all the fascinating contents.
Let’s begin with this beautiful journey; shall we? 😊

Makeup Selection Process:
In the Double Dibs 2020 January Fab Bag, subscribers will be receiving a combination of 2 Makeup and 3 Beauty Essentials. The best part is yet to be heard: Makeup choice is available on all subscription plans!! 😍

When I received the makeup selection, I was offered around 5 shades of both the makeup products. I took my sweet little time to select the shades which I was sure I don’t own. To be honest, I’m always glad that subscribers like me get makeup selection options so that we can receive only those products that we’d actually wanna use.

Products Inside:

Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Eyeshadow - Emerald Gaze [Full Size: INR 499]
I know; you guys know; my parents know and now even my neighbours know how much I love makeup products. Yes, there will always be a trillion of people judging you because you have makeup on but always do what you are comfortable in. People out there will always find a reason to judge you because it’s a fast-paced world and no one is willing to spend time in knowing a person. Those who really matter would hardly care how you dress up because YOU are important to them, not your things. So go ahead girl, use your favourite mascara or that bold lip color and let your heart feel free by giving up the burden of anxiety!

The first product is a makeup item that too from a well-known brand like Wet N Wild. Seeing this, I feel as if I’m dreaming about everything bright, beautiful and glittery! I love experimenting with eyeshadows. If you are following me on Instagram, you must have come across a few of my makeup looks. Anyways, coming back to the product, there were a total of four shades to choose from: Cashmere Love, Emerald Gaze, Gun Metal, and Shells and Whistles. Amongst these, I picked up Emerald Gaze because it’s easier to find other shades in eyeshadow palettes but this particular variant was unique and perfect to suit the occasion: New Year. The metallic eyeshadow comes in a cylindrical, transparent tube and has a doe foot application which makes product application really convenient. Overall, it definitely deserves to be declared as the star product of the January Fab Bag!

Brick New Year Ultimate Matte Liquid Lipstick - 02 Magic Candy [Full Size: INR 499]
Is it a coincident that it’s the year 2020 with two 2s’ in it; I’m unboxing Double Dips Edition Fab Bag and we have two makeup products inside? Adding onto the list of twos, the shade I picked up from the second makeup product - Brick New Year Ultimate Matte Liquid Lipstick is also 02 - Magic Candy. To be honest, I’ve never heard of this brand before but I’m always happy to introduce a new liquid lipstick in my vanity. I haven’t really tested the longevity of this lipstick but the color that I picked is a peachy-pink which you can flaunt on an everyday basis while personifying the ‘girl-next-door’ look. I can definitely see myself wearing it to the office or a casual outing with friends.

The Nature’s Co. Tea Tree Hair Nourishing Cream [Full Size: INR 225]
When its summertime, I keep cursing humidity and keep dreaming about winters that keep my face sweat-free. However, when winters arrive, they bring along with them a lot of hair woes which includes flaky and itchy scalp. Also, the long term impact of dandruff is hair fall and pimples. Since some time, I have been noticing some flakiness on my scalp and my hair ends have gone extremely dry. Although I’ve now chopped off my colored hair, I’m making sure to keep my ends hydrated with a hair mist or serum. On a couple of days, they still don’t satiate the hydration requirement but now that I have the Nature’s Co. Tea Tree air Nourishing Cream, I’m assuming its gonna keep my hair as well as scalp healthy. Lastly, the product sizing is just appropriate for you to toss it into your everyday bag and roam around carefree.

Tvakh Pink Clay Purifying Face Mask [INR 150 for 25 grams]
Even before I personally worked with the brand Tvakh, I only heard good things about their brand as well as their products. Therefore, receiving a sample product from them only means that I’m genuinely going to try it out and see if I need to invest in its full-sized product. Currently, I’m dealing with a lot of acne and they seem to be settling down gradually as well. This is because I realized the fact that the most important thing right now is to focus on pores and make sure to remove dirt, grime and makeup properly. I’ve noticed that whiteheads only lead to acne in my case. To assist me in keeping my skin healthy, I found the Pink Clay Clarifying Face Mask. The packaging of the product claims that it helps in cleaning congested pores, soothing down the skin and locking the moisture in. Another good thing about this product is that it is parabens, mineral oil and GMO-free.

Sirona Gold Ore Handmade Bath Soap [Full Size: INR 190]
Although I’m no longer into soaps, but who is going to say no to a premium handmade soap? Not me, for sure. The Serona Gold Ore Handmade Bath Soap is made using gemstone powders (including cherry blossom oil, mica, colorant, real gold leaf foil) to provide a rejuvenating bathing experience. Besides this, it is also preservative, parabens and chemical actives free!

Total Worth of the Products: INR 1,563

Overall, I really liked this month's Fab Bag since there are two makeup products and even the samples are of premium sizes, which I would genuinely be using!

Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness 😂😂
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!
