Fab Bag April 2019 - The Spring Thing Edition | 10% off Coupon Code | Unboxing & Review

Fab Bag April 2019
Hi guys,
Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ❤

It’s again that time of the month when we unravel the contents of the current month’s Fab Bag subscription!! Are you guys excited? Because I definitely feel pumped up to rip off every plastic film and try on some of the products that I’ve received in the Spring Thing Edition! As usual, my courier reached me on the first of the month but since it was a weekday, I couldn’t really post the review ASAP. Life at office manages to take a toll on me physically as well as mentally. Therefore, it becomes tough to curate content on weekdays after 9-6 work schedule. However, I decided to give my weekend priorities (like a round of PUBG, a midnight meal of Nissan Cup Noodles and Choconado Ice Cream as a dessert) a little break and pour out my heart to you guys in the form of words.

Comment down below if we share same weekend priorities 😆😆

Let’s begin with the unboxing; shall we?

Fab Bag April 2019 Review
Makeup Selection Process:
In the month of April, subscribers will be offered a combination of 2 Makeup & 3 Beauty Essentials. The main makeup choice is available only on 3, 6 & 12 month subscription plans on first-come, first served basis. The team of Fab Bag has presented an assortment of 17 SUGAR makeup products for you to choose from!

The Fab Bag Pouch:
The Spring Thing April Fab Bag pouch which I have received is in a beautiful peach shade. While the 1/3rd part of it is plain, the other 2/3rd part of the pouch has a white base with intricate flowers printed on them. As far as I know (relying on Instagram account of the brand again), this month Fab Bag pouches are available in three variants: grey, peach and brown. Honestly, I kinda like each and every colour variant and I’m looking forward to use it for keeping some of my everyday office essentials.

10% off Coupon Code: The team of Fab Bag provided us with a special coupon code -  BHAWNA10 which you can use for subscribing to the 6 and 12 month plan. 😊

Products in April 2019 Fab Bag:

Sugar Suede Secret Matte Lipcolour
Sugar Suede Secret Matte Lipcolour - 13 Nylon Nude [Full Size: INR 799]
By now, you guys know how much I love receiving Sugar cosmetics in Fab Bag. When I saw that the crew of Fab Bag was offering a total of 17 makeup items, I scrutinized on every product, ensured twice that I’m picking something which would be used religiously, and finally picked it up without thinking more (or else, I would have been intrigued about every single item). I have a coupled of Smudge Me Not lipsticks but I never owned the brand’s Suede Secret Matte Lip Colour range. From the catered choices, I fell for this my-lips-but-better shade in 13 Nylon Pink which is more towards soft brown side but has a slight tinge of pink. It’s quite appropriate for working women and for ladies who love to pamper themselves with smokey eyes and nude lip colour to balance out the drama. Since the day I have received this lip colour, I have been wearing it on an everyday basis! In short, it has become my go-to lip shade for this month!! 😍

Inara Cosmo Beauty Nail Lacquer [Full Size: INR 450]

Inara Cosmo Beauty Nail Lacquer

This is the second makeup product which you will be receiving in the Spring Thing April Fab Bag. I haven’t heard about this brand before, I’m assuming it’s relatively a new brand which has launched recently. The packaging reminds me of a nail paint which I have from the brand Miniso. It comes in a yellow outer carton which has all the required details printed including product description and price. The shade that I have received is a beautiful Indian bridal red. I am not sure if everyone will be receiving the same nail paint shade or different. Also at this price point, I am not really a fan of the longevity of this nail lacquer. I had applied one layer and it started to chip off in the next day. Maybe I should try out by applying two layers instead.

Organic Harvest Diamond Shine & Glow Facial Kit [Full Size: INR 295]

Organic Harvest Diamond Shine & Glow Facial Kit

I have been fascinated by the brand Organic Harvest for a long time. However, I never got the opportunity of trying out their products till date. Therefore, when I saw a full sized product in the Fab Bag subscription, I was quite excited about trying them out and probably ordering more products from the same brand. To be honest, I love receiving facial kits as I don’t really visit a parlour for getting such things done. I force myself to visit them only when I’ve got a bushy eyebrow or a poking moustache 😅. I don’t rely on their products because I have an acne-prone and sensitive skin type which can react to anything and everything possible. I'd preferably use this kit on a weekend when I’d feel a little fancy! 😉

Kronokare Pollu-Stop Hair Mist [Full Size: INR 395]
Kronokare Pollu-Stop Hair Mist

I have a tried the Kronokare’s Pollu-Stop Facial Mist but this would be the first time that I will be trying out their hair mist. As the product packaging is compact, you can easily toss it into your college or work bag and be good-to-go to take on the world!

Bonus Product

Total Worth of the Products: INR 1,939
Total Savings: Approximately INR 1,340

Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness 😂😂
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.
Let’s dive into the review without any digressions!

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!

Exploring A World Within: Ethnic Outfit Ideas - OOTD - Monsoon Diaries

"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
When I started my journey as a blogger, I shied away from being captured in pictures. For some odd reason, I was always missing from school pictures, group pictures and a lot of other pictures. On top of that, my introvert personality stopped me from doing outfit posts on a regular basis. So until now, majority of my blog pictures revolved around flatlays and product photography. #ComfortZoneAtItsBest 😂

In fact, my phone’s memory contains more pictures of flatlays than it has of me. This is also one of the reasons why my WhatsApp DP stays without a picture. P.s. no, I haven't blocked you 🙈

Now that I feel that I’ve improved a lot in terms of my flatlay photography, I incurred a realization that aesthetics of picture touches a top notch when there’s human element incorporated. Not necessarily my face but probably my hand, hair …
