A hearty welcome to the Glistening Lane! 😊
Since a couple of months, I have been running to places for learning new things. One of these things includes PHOTOGRAPHY. After being interrogated by numerous people about my objective of learning photography, I decided to reveal this little secret to you guys, who seem to care a little bit more about what goes onto my mind. Although I have been taking pictures from the last three years, I felt a need for brushing up my basics in order to frame a better picture. I personally have so many diverse interests and given the opportunity, I would love to be acquainted with some of those things. For instance, driving a car was a dream a few years ago but now that I know driving, I love bypassing the wind on a highway! I believe, if we cannot be a master of everything, let’s personify Jack of all trades!
Anyways, I ended up taking two sets of pictures for March 2019 Fab Bag review which you will surely notice after a little scrolling. Just after I posed for the images, I ended up shopping a little on the Sugar counter. In case you are wondering, I picked up their Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato and Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick in 08 Wine and Shine.
Moving on from my makeup addiction, let’s see what all I received in this month’s fab bag:
Makeup Selection Process:
In the month of March, subscribers will be receiving a combination of 3 Makeup and 3 Beauty Essentials. Also, please note that - No makeup choice is being offered to both the short term as well as the long term subscribers for this month. Each and every subscriber will be receiving the same set of products, except for the Fab Bag Pouch.
The Fab Bag Pouch:
Being a long term subscriber, I have received ample variation of the Fab Bag pouches. Some of them are still heaped up inside my drawers, waiting for the appropriate time when I’d be requiring them to stores makeup items. Others have been put to use as an emergency kit in my office bag and a few have been taken by my mother as well as sister. This month, the Fab Bag pouch is available in two variants (as witnessed on the brand’s Instagram post) – peach and brown. I received the peach variant and it has some cut out in between to form a pattern. Underneath, there’s a lining of silver material which makes this bag appear quite festive. Overall, it’s a nice bag with some elaborate details that makes it aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
10% off Coupon Code: The team of Fab Bag provided us with a special coupon code - BHAWNA10 which you can use for subscribing to the 6 and 12-month plan.
Products in March 2019 Fab Bag:
Matt Look Push Up Mascara [Full Size: INR 215]
I’ve seen this brand in a lot of local cosmetic stores but never got the opportunity of trying it out. First things first, the packaging is quite quirky and I loved the bold pink tube of the mascara. Once you open it up, you’d notice that the mascara wand is very thick and its bristles work amazingly well for coating your lashes. While trying it out, I had applied 2-3 coats and I was awestruck by the volume it gave to my lashes. Last year I was using Maybelline’s Falsies the Volume Express Mascara and this mascara gave similar results. Although I’m yet to try their Push Up Drama Mascara, I still feel this could be an identical dupe of the same! 😃
(P.s. I did my mascara and eyeliner using the two eye makeup products received in this month's fab bag)
Half N Half Non-Transfer Hi-Tech Waterproof Eyeliner Pen [Full Size: INR 195]
If I remember it right, the brand Half N Half was earlier known as 7 Heaven and I have reviewed a couple of their lipsticks a year or two ago. I personally love sketch eyeliners for the convenience that they offer for winging out the liner. It provides an amazing grip if you are someone who wants to go dramatic on the eyes. However, I’ve faced issues with these sorts of eyeliners. For some random reason, they tend to dry out real quick and this kept on happening even when I kept them upside down. I hope the same does not happen with this eyeliner though. Definitely looking forward to using it on a regular basis!
Sage Cosmetic Nail Lacquer [Full Size: INR 700]
Sage Cosmetic is relatively a new brand for me. I haven’t heard of it before but their 15 free claim seems quite impressive. The packaging states that the nail lacquer is free from Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde, Camphor, Formaldehyde Resin, Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, GMOs, Petrochemicals, Triclosan, Triphenyl Phosphate, Ethyl, Tosylamide, Xylene, SLS. Coming to the characteristics of the products, the nail paint appears white but it gives off no colour. On application, I noticed that it works as a top coat for elongating the longevity of the nail lacquer and making its texture matte. With a premium price tag, I'm expecting it does wonders to my nails. 😍
Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil [Full Size: INR 84]
We don’t really need an introduction to the Indian brand Dabur. They offer a wide range of Ayurvedic personal care products which include hair oils, shampoos, conditioners and facial toners. In case you aren’t aware, they also provide cosmetic products that can be picked up from nearby New U stores. New U is a Dabur Enterprise which stocks majority of the Indian as well as International brands like Wet N Wild and Makeup Revolution.
Global Beauty Secrets - Goodness of Greece Kit [INR 225 for 20 grams]
Last time when we received their face cream, I was highly impressed with its formulation as well as the fragrance. Therefore, I was quite excited on receiving their Goodness of Greece Kit. It contains two sample sized tubes in their usual matte black packaging. One of the tubes has a Greek Charcoal Face Mask while the other has their Greek Yogurt and Lavender Body Moisturizer. I’m looking forward to trying it out on my usual pamper nights! 😄😄
