Let’s Take-Up the One Day Detox Challenge ft. Zoe Nutrition for Life!

By Bhawna D. - December 10, 2018

Hello Everyone,
Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

A couple of months ago, my health was consistently degrading and I was falling ill almost every other week. Each day at work wouldn’t pass by without immense tiredness and I’d be puking at least once or twice because of no apparent reason. Anything which I’d consume from outside, would make my tummy go on a roller coaster. This also happened with the water I’d have from anywhere else besides my home. Soon, I developed an infection in my stomach and a change of water or food made me fall ill terribly. And as if that wasn’t enough, when I was assuming to be recovering, my blood reports again showed signs of more infection developing within. Owing to this, I took off from work for a long time frame but the toughest part was to think the body is healing but it would again spit out weird toxic acid like things at the middle of the night.

Before beginning with the review on Zoe Nutrition Detox, I must specify this fact clearly that my objective from the one day detox challenge is to flush out toxins and feel better in terms of health. Although, I am relatively doing much better than 2 months ago but there’s definitely no harm to pamper the weak child my immunity has become. I don’t intend to perceive this as a remedy for weight-loss because one day challenge can only sail off your boat for the weight-loss journey, however, it needs to be rowed for a couple of months to see long term effects.

Let us begin with understanding what detox really means.

What is a DETOX?
Detox refers to a process in which a person tries to get rid of toxins or unhealthy substances present in the body owing to a number of reasons like lifestyle and eating patterns.

Product Packaging:
There are a lot of the times when we do want to initiate the journey of detox but either we have a lack of information about it or the wrong food supplies. Therefore, on receiving sachets and packets of food items and beverages for an entire day, I was quite surprised on seeing the brand’s dedication in including a face pack, soups and teas. Since all of these items are pre-made and they require only the effort of warming up some water, a lazy-bum like me wouldn’t give up on the One Day Detox Challenge so easily! Moreover, there is an information leaflet which not only gives you an insight of the complete meal breakup for the day but it also assist you in maintaining a healthy diet on an everyday basis after the detox day comes to an end.

Zoe Nutrition Diet Chart for 24 Hours:
6 am to 8 am: Upon Waking Up: Herbal Infusion and Instant Glow Face Mask
A good way to start your day is with a glass full of water as it not only hydrates your body but it also flushes down the toxins present in your body. Also, since I love pampering myself using skincare products like a face mask, I was delighted to see it incorporated into my detox chart. Probably, the idea is to feel beautiful from inside as well as outside the body 😊😊

8 am to 10 am: Breakfast: Muesli with milk/yoghurt & Organic Kashmiri Green Tea
If you haven’t noticed yet, the diet chart is really flexible and it does offer you few alternatives. For instance, I don’t usually have yoghurt at my home so I used some milk and poured over the packet of Almond and Raisin Muesli mix. Along with it, I had the Organic Kashmiri Green Tea which was surprising better than usual green teas.

10 am to 11 am: Post Breakfast Snack: Lemon Ginger Instant Drink
As I love gulping down lemonades, I was actually looking forward for trying out the lemon ginger instant drink. In terms of taste, it does remind me of homemade lemonade but I’m glad it had the right amount of sweetness in it.

12 pm to 2 pm: Lunch: Tomato Soup & Daily Detox Darjeeling Green Tea
To be honest, I’ve never had soup and tea together, however, I did enjoy my meal with the tangy taste of tomato soup and some hot Darjeeling Green Tea.

2 pm to 4 pm: Post Lunch Snack: Beet & Amla Instant Drink
I’ve always heard good things about beetroot and amla!

4 pm to 6 pm: Evening Snack: Darjeeling Special Exotic Black Tea
By then, I was quite excited about trying out new tea variants because it’s getting colder here in Delhi and hot beverages soothe down my throat.

6 pm to 7 pm: Pre Dinner Snack: Amla Juice
Amla or Indian Gooseberry is enriched with Vitamin C which aids in protecting against cardiovascular diseases, immune system deficiencies, prenatal health problems, eye disease and skin wrinkling.

8 pm to 9 pm: Dinner: Corn Soup
If you’d ask me what soup variant I love, I’d say “CORN”!! In fact, I tend to add a lot of corns and peas in my meals.

9 pm to 11 pm: Bedtime drink: Calming & Relaxing Lemongrass Green Tea
Just like bedtime stories, anything which relaxes my extra-hyper mind is very much welcomed.

Personally, I detest the concept of dieting or fasting in particular because I believe that not eating food will only cater weight-loss for a very short time frame. After you are done starving your body, you’d probably end-up eating a lot more food than you usually do. Thus, I refrain myself from practising any diet charts. That also happened when my gym instructor told me to not eat chapattis a few years ago. However, as water helps in flushing out toxins from the body, following a liquid diet with meals which are equally distributed into small proportions seemed perfectly fine for me. Overall, I had an amazing experiencing on using the Zoe Nutrition Detox and I feel it’s always crucial to spend a little bit more on your body and health instead of clothes or makeup. Unless you feel happy within your body, no amount of fancy skincare, makeup or clothes will make you feel good about your own self. And of course, don’t look up to others for bringing you happiness or joy; dive deeper within your own selves to understand what your heart really wants! 💖

That’s all I have for today! I hope this post was quite helpful for you.
