Fab Bag - Sensational Six September - Unboxing & Review

Hi Guys,
Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

I know, you guys must be wondering why I’ve been MIA all this time. From uploading at least one blog post per week, I have now started posting only once or twice a month. The reason being, my consistently degrading health and work pressure from office. Few weeks ago, I developed blood infection from an unidentified source. As I’m still on medications, I’m hardly able to devote much time on writing blog posts, for that matter, taking flatlay pictures exert my body as well. Yet, I decided to sit down and unbox for you guys, my most awaited parcel of month, that is - Fab Bag!! I know how much you guys love Fab Bag unboxing, we share this love together due to which I come back every month, sharing my personal experience, so that in case you find it interesting, you can go ahead and order one for yourself. And if it feels like an okayish deal, you can probably save some bucks for your self. Fair enough? 😘 Ideally, we reviewers ought to be thanked a big time because several people out there rely on our opinions and even on knowing the fact that blogging industry hardly pays people in India, we are still striving every day to bring new content for our readers. However, you guys hardly take out a minute to leave down a comment. So, if you’re here for the first time, we heartily welcome you to our family and hope to see you again. In return, all you gotta do is leave me a comment saying “Hi” or anything which you wanna share! 😉

One thing which I learnt in my amateur career of content writing is the fact that template might look sorted but it can lead to monotonous feel for readers as well as the writer. Therefore, this time, it’s going to be a long blog post with no set format but the conventional style of pouring true feelings. Life is sometimes too harsh, so we need that sort of digressions in order to suppress our anxiety and come back to a solution based mindset. Today, I’d exactly resolve that for you. So, if you’re just back from work, grab yourself a hot cup of tea/coffee and we'd begin our trip to the wonderland of unboxing! Can we have some drum roll sound effects please? Just imagine that in your mind. 😋😄

And here's what's inside the anniversary special edition! 😊

Makeup Selection Process:

Usually, I expect the makeup selection email around 24th of the month, but this time, the email arrived on 27th August. I was slightly worried that fab bag might reach late this month but thankfully it arrived well on time, at the 01st September itself. In the makeup selection email, I was introduced to the fact that it was Fab Bag’s anniversary month and it made me all the more excited. On their 6th Birthday Celebration, the bag includes a total of 6 makeup and beauty essentials. But for the makeup, we were provided with four shades of the Sugar’s It's A-Pout Time! Vivid Lipstick Mini. These shades were – Breaking Bare, Peachy Little Liars, Browntown Abbey and Better Call Salmon. From these four shades, I already have Breaking Bare and Better Call Salmon. Both of these shades are beautiful but I wanted to try out a different colour so I picked up the shade Browntown Abbey. If you’re wondering we only have one makeup product this month, then stay glued because we’ve got more!!

The Sensational Six September - Fab Bag- Anniversary Edition

Products in September 2018 Fab Bag:

Sugar It's A Pout Time Vivid Lipstick - Mini

Sugar It’s A Pout Time Vivid Mini Lipstick 08-Browntown Abbey (INR 270 for 1.7 grams)
Recently, when MAC cosmetics released their mini makeup variant, Sugar Cosmetics, being an Indian brand, also introduced mini variants of their makeup products in order to fire up the competition. Don’t ask me how I know about this. As a beauty blogger, I trend to keenly observe Instagram of my favourite brands while I remain clueless about human beings.😜 Anyways, I wasn’t expecting these lipsticks to be this small but it would definitely last for a low of months. I told you earlier as to why I picked up the shade Browntown Abbey and I’m glad that I had my bet on this one. The lipstick bullet has a faint vanilla like sweet fragrance and the colour can be described as a soft brown shade with no pink undertones. It’s very much wearable and I do see myself picking this shade often. Super-excited about flaunting this colour in the near future.

Newly Launched: Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder

Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder (Full Size: INR 599)
If you assumed one makeup product is all you’d get in this month’s fab bag then you got it all wrong, my friend. Here we have another makeup product which is again a newly launched product; this is the Sugar’s All Set To Go Translucent Powder. First and foremost, the packaging is so classy and travel friendly. Since it’s a translucent powder, you don’t need to worry about its shade suiting your skin tone; it will work with every skin tone. Inside, you will find a small mirror attached so you don’t have to roam around with a compact mirror separately and the puff makes it all the more convenient because who is going to ruin the bristles of their lovely fluffy face makeup brush, at least that is one of my major concerns for sure because until now I’ve been using Rimmel’s Stay Matte Compact which does not come with its puff applicator. This is definitely one of those products which I know I would have ended up buying if it wasn’t provided in one of my fab bag.

*Please note that you can get either translucent powder or a creamy mascara.

Look at that classy packaging! 😍

The Herbal Blend - Rejuvenating Face & Body Scrub

The Herbal Blend Rejuvenating Face and Body Scrub (Full Size: INR 580)
When I looked at the appearance of this scrub, it immediately reminded me of the Tvakh’s White Tea Rose Deep Pore Cleansing Exfoliating Scrub, which also came in one of the recent fab bags. I haven’t used the Herbal Blend Rejuvenating Face and Body Scrub yet, but it has a creamy texture with minute exfoliating granules which are best suited for acne prone or sensitive skin.

Ohria Raatrani & Mint Facial Mist

Ohria Raatrani & Mint Facial Mist (INR 360 for 50 ml)
Last year, when I was using the Greenberry Organics’s Organic & Raw Pure Cucumber and Rose Water mist, I faced this difficulty that during monsoon or extremely humid days, it would make my skin sweat a lot. And that sticky feel which was left behind, isn’t what we seek in our mists, especially combination to oily skin people. Therefore, I prefer mists which cater refreshing feel but not excessive hydration because we have enough moisturisers for that. So when I first tried Ohria Raatrani & Mint Facial Mist, I was impressed not only by its fragrance but the sudden refreshing feel it left upon me. Also, it feels like water onto the skin and does not leave the skin oily or stick at all. My lovely ladies out there, with acne prone or oily skin type, I’m sure you are going to love it. Talking about the packaging, it’s very convenient, you can easily toss it into your handbag and you are good to go. I think I will keep it in my office bag for times when I get extremely anxious and breathing becomes a problem. Probably this will provide some solace to me on tensed days.

Bollyglow Bamboo Sheet Face Mask

Bollyglow Bamboo Sheet Face Mask (Full Size: INR 195)
I believe this is the first time that we are receiving a sheet mask in our fab bag. New additions are always welcome from my end. The brand Bollyglow isn’t familiar with me but what can possible go wrong with a sheet mask? Nothing I believe. The packaging claims that it is meant exclusively for dealing with blemishes and I do have a lot of them on my face, thanks to the ever coming pimples. So the term “anti-blemish” is what makes me fascinated to try it out as soon as possible. However, I had to curtail my curiosity in order to take blog post pictures first. #LifeOfABlogger

Sebamed Olive Face & Body Wash

Sebamed Olive Face and Body Wash (INR 67 for 20 ml)
Now, this product from Sebamed is a sample size product and I think it can last you for 2-3 washes, which is an anticipated detail. As the product name states “olive”, I’m sure this face and body wash is suitable for dry to natural skin type. Mine is somewhat dry, at least the skin of the limbs, whereas the face is an oil mine. I am going to reserve this product for days when I’d be travelling.

Bonus Product:

Acnes Purifying Foaming Face Wash

TGL’s Views on Fab Bag - ‘Sensational Six September’ Anniversary Edition:
While last month’s Fab Bag was missing on the “wow factor”, this month the bag truly came out like a sensation, bringing 6 products in total, falling perfectly in synchronization with the anniversary year. Moreover, the last month’s four products feel completely justified when we got bonus products this month. This month feels satisfactory for the fact that we have two makeup products; both of these are newly launched by Sugar Cosmetics. For me personally, not only is the selection of the makeup products amazing but the skincare essentials too have been finely selected. If I’m not wrong, I think this is the first time we’ve received a sheet mask in our Fab Bag. Also, the pouch/bag itself stands out from rest of the recent bags we’ve received. In short, there’s no reason as to why I wouldn’t wanna splurge on this month’s - 'Sensation Six September’ Fab Bag.

Total Worth of the Product: INR 2,071
Total Savings: Approximately INR 1,472!!

And, that’s a wrap for today!
Which product from this month’s Fab Bag kept you hooked? 😊
