Finding A Tribe Where I Belong? #FriendshipDayScenes

When I fluffed out my wings, to undertake the journey of blogging, I knew it’s not going to be a cakewalk. Infact, nothing can truly be accomplished in a matter of seconds, hours or months. Each mountain takes years and years of toil to attain its identity; otherwise its nothing but mere sand and stones. My initial years of blogging was done completely under isolation. I had no social media accounts back then and my blog originated only with the objective of catering me a platform wherein I can pour out my heart without being restrained under the clutches of that which is considered “USUAL”.

Had we all been identical to each other, the world would have been a boring place. And I believe, the term "different" or “weird” is overtly exploited by the so called “sane” human species. Who are we to judge the other? If we’ve been INTENTIONALLY made the way we are, who are those people who want to change us and claim it as their inherent right? As ifbthey’ve been endowed with the burden of changing the world? 🙄

I choose to give power to my words and it’s my will to remain quiet. Amidst a group of people, I tend take over the third person perspective and observe keenly. For me, things are pretty much sorted because being a writer, I speculate faster than my voice can assist me during a verbal communication.

With the start of the blogging journey, it felt as if another dimension to this world has been left open exclusively for me. I interacted with various strangers who pinged me with their mails or left me comments on my blog posts. During this exploration, I also met people who’ve been a part of my life till date. Yes, I’m referring to friends who were also bloggers. Ironically, while the real world frowned or questioned the aspects of blogging, I made friends over the internet who were undergoing the same stares and cold behaviour from people who were near or around us on an everyday basis. I remember how I had to cut down on my after class roaming hours hours with friends because I had to go home in order to curate more content for my blog. Sadly, people know you write blogs but they forget that blogging takes efforts as well. Ultimately, a lot of the people take it as if we've been born with a arrogant nature.

So what if they think it that way, it makes zero impact upon me. I don’t need to go validate my actions in front of everyone. 🕊️ #PeaceWithin

Happy Times 😄

During post graduation, I became friends with Swati from Curious and Confused Me. Distant in terms of the city we reside, yet we formed a close bond over emails and WhatsApp. Yes, it actually started off with the old-school form communications, a.k.a. emails. I remember how in between different classes I’d find a vacant spot in my college campus and we texted about lunches and stares from people around. P.s. girl if you’re reading this, I kinda miss those days. 🤗

As years passed by, I became socially active (only on social media applications because I’m still a socially awkward person) and I found numerous friends from every part of the nation as well as the world. In fact, now when I go to bloggers event, I realise “oh she’s here; it’s our time to bond over a real space”. Sometimes, in the first meet, all I manage to say is “Hey..How have you been?” or maybe “It feels good to see you”. And it accompanies a warm hug. I genuinely feel that but #IntrovertProblems take over and I can’t talk much. I think MsMeehnia knows it a little better. 😂

Anyways, few days ago, I decided to chill out with some of my lovely co-bloggers: Niharika, Nimisha and Vishakha. It was kinda like a girl’s day out wherein we roamed around the streets of Cannaught Place (Delhi), had a good time eating at Ministry of Beer cafe and chatted till hours’ non-stop! We had good food and good time in each other’s presence. Moreover, we got some amazing clicks of us together. Also, we did an elaborate skincare talk while hovering in the Body Shop store.

Selfie Queens in here!! 😋

After days like these, I feel I know there’s this one particular tribe wherein I don’t need to explain majority of my actions. And even though every industry has its beauty and flaws, I can still call it my TRIBE... A place where I truly belong.

Lastly, thanks a lot to each one of you who has made this journey worth travelling. Be it the co-bloggers, active readers who drop their lovely comments/emails or silent readers; because each of your efforts genuinely counts.

If you’ve never left a comment before, consider this as an opportunity to make me know about your presence by just leaving a heart emoji below! This would mean a lot for me.

  4. Such a lovely post! Yes, it is difficult to explain a blogger's life to others. Many of them ask me what I do with so many beauty products, that am harming my skin with all these. My only source of inspiration is other beauty bloggers like you :) Happy friendship day dear :)

Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness 😂😂
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.
Let’s dive into the review without any digressions!

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!
