Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks | Reviewing & Swatching - 02, 04, 25 and 27
By Bhawna D. - April 23, 2018
Welcome back
to the Glistening Lane ✨
Recently, I
discovered a new Sugar Cosmetics store
in Delhi NCR region. Even though I curbed my desires, to not be lured by
their fancy counters, I ended up with two liquid lipsticks in my hand. Call
that as a strong human willpower! I got dicey twice, changed the shades in
billing two times and still managed to grab the brand’s glittery pouch. Yes, I’m
a die-hard fan for free gifts that comes along with the splurging of my hard-earned
money. Once I was home, I realized that I’ve scored myself four liquid
lipsticks from the sugar smudge me not
collection. And if you assumed, that’s going to be my last purchase from this
brand, you are so wrong my lovely girl!
If you happen to visit DLF Mall in Noida, make sure to visit their lifestyle stores because that’s where the new store of Sugar cosmetics has opened. I also encountered My Glamm there but I’m yet to try products from that brand; plus most of them are not-so-budget-friendly. Anyways, now that I’m a proud owner of so many lippies, it's time I bombard you guys with my opinion on these! The first ever lipstick that I owned from the smudge me not collection is Plum Yum. I got this in my last year’s Fab Bag and till date, I have been loving it immensely! If there’s a day when I wanna wear pink, this would be the most employed lipstick and still it hasn’t got emptied.
04 Plum Yum:
It’s been more than a year since I have the shade ‘Plum Yum’ in my vanity. I received it in one of my fab bag subscription box and this was the first Sugar product that I own. This shade is somewhat a mute-pink in comparison to the ‘Brink of Pink’. I love wearing it on days when my outfit speaks “adorable girl-next-door”. It will compliment fair and medium skin tone. It has a slight purple tinge to it but thankfully no blue undertones. You can read the complete review HERE.
27 Brown Crown:
Again, the shade ‘Brown Crown’ came in my Fab Bag – The Game Changer box. While ‘Very Mulberry’ is more towards the maroon end, ‘Brown Crown’ is devoid of all the redness inside and it falls under a dark brown with slight shine as that found in metallic lipsticks. You need a heart of a lipstick-lover to flaunt it! Also, I noticed that the longevity of this lipstick is tad-bit a little too longer than other Smudge Me Not lipsticks. If you are into browns, then make sure that you do not miss out on this gorgeous shade right here!

And before I
enter the blabbering zone, we must proceed forth with the blog post.
P.s. a
writer’s blabbering never happens verbally!
Oh btw, I
did manage to get Sugar’s pouch because that was how the S.A. tempted me for
buying two lip shades. Even though the sum total was somewhat Rs. 998 instead
of Rs. 1000, she thankfully still did the courtesy of handling the pouch over
once I casted my puppy eyes on her. Also, I asked her to change my billing
details once as well, thanks to my confused mind.
"Because too
many choices baffles my ability to think." Does it happens to you as well, share in comments. And don't be shy, girl. We all share same heart when it comes to cosmetics.
Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid
Lipstick – Review + Swatches:
When I got
this swatched on my hand, I felt it’s darker than the shade ‘Plum Yum’. But how much colour
difference they both have, I realized only after coming home. Brink of pink is
one of those shades that look good on all skin tone. One of my office colleagues
has this lipstick too and ‘Brink of Pink’
looks completely different on her. Describing the shade, it’s an intense berry
pink colour which adds that pop of colour to your outfit! Another great fact
about this shade is that it makes the skin appear healthy, bright and alive.
Ironically, I lost mine on Dehradun (Uttarakhand) visit. (A heartbreaking story. Will share it some other day. Right now, still trying to get over the incident. 😢)04 Plum Yum:

25 Very Mulberry:
Lately, I’ve been experimenting a lot with my lipsticks. Bygone are the days when bubbly pink or red would intrigue my heart. This is the sole reason why I picked up the shade ‘Very Mulberry’. Apparently, mulberry is a fruit which I’ve never tried before. This shade is a perfect maroon shade which you can probably rock on the Red Carpet! 😛 I love wearing this with some formal outfit. And honestly it can also compliment any and every outfit. Also, this shade again would fare well with every skin type. Not to mention but I’m legit in love with this shade right now!

ULTIMATE OBSERVATION:
If you are
stuck at the shade selection, then I’d suggest going a shade number up or down
as per your requirements because this is what I observed when I picked four of
these shades. Plum Yum (Shade 04) is
lighter than Brink of Pink (Shade 02).
Similarly, Very Mulberry and Brown Crown have a similar colour family
but with a little colour play. Hope this would be helpful for your next Sugar lipstick purchases.
