What’s In My Fab Bag March 2018? | The Game Changer | Unboxing & Mini Review
By Bhawna D. - March 04, 2018
Welcome back
to the Glistening Lane ✨
February passed
away so quickly. On the first day of March, I came back home from work to a
parcel which was sitting proudly on to the computer table, waiting for me to
unbox it ASAP! This, I believe is the fourth month wherein I’ve consistently received
the Fab Bag courier on day 1 of the month. To be honest, I’m quite happy about
it. It feels as if someone is putting their time and effort to pamper me from
the work schedule 😊. Sitting 9 to 6 in front of laptop screens, scribbling
content can be quite challenging, particularly for a person like me who has
been working from home.
Any sort of
surprises, helps me in breaking the monotony of the everyday schedule. Being an
INTJ personality type, I fail to find comfort amidst a repetitive routine.
Anyways, so when I opened my parcel, I noticed two products were kept outside. The
pouch or bag of the month was something that I’d go and shell my money onto if
it would be lying into the Forever21 racks. Although, you might not be able to
store a lot of makeup inside it, but it’s definitely classy and elegant. Till
date, I have so many Fab Bag pouches which I use for storage purposes.
Ironically, I don’t use those which are my favourites because I want to save
them for a perfect occasion.
Let’s begin
with the unboxing -
Theme of the Month: The Game
Changer
The Bag:
This month,
there are a total of 5 colours available and the one that I received is silver.
The texture of the bag is somewhat look-alike PU leather material and it’s quite
sleek and elegant. In terms of storage, you might not be able to keep a lot of
stuff inside, which is why two of the products were placed outside the bag.
There are no patterns or designs running on the bag, it’s quite plain but the
reflective texture make them resemble the holographic bags. I personally love
the bag but I’m still sceptical as to what I should store inside it. Let me
know if you have any suggestions. 😉

There were so many tempting makeup products available that I
took so much time for finalizing what to pick up. Finally, I settled for Brown
Crown liquid lipstick simply for the fact that currently, I’ve been hunting for
lip colours that are unusual and those which I don’t own already in my vanity.
I have abundance of pinks, browns and reds but this one is a unique dark brown
shade which I’m so eager to try out. On scrutinizing, you would see minute
flakes of glitter in it which evades as soon as you apply it on your lips and it
begins to set matte. The shade speaks the word GOTHIC to me and before trying a
black shade, probably a dark brown would be better. From the range of Smudge Me
Not Liquid lipsticks, this one is my second lip colour. I’m pretty
much a fan of their texture and longevity so there is no looking back. Earlier I forget to mention it, this lipstick is the Star
Product of the Month!
I’ve tried
Nelf products some time back. In fact, I’ve also reviewed their Kiss Proof Professional Liquid lipsticks
which were not that great as per their price point. Last month, I received
their HD primer in fab-bag which is quite good. The shade that I got is ‘sizzling
blue’. I’m not happy with the fact this eyeliner pencil has no retraceable packaging;
neither we got a sharpener along with it. Of course, sharpening has its
drawbacks also. Moreover, I wish they have unique product names instead of
picking up the term ‘collosal’ which is associated with a lot of other Indian
beauty brands. Lastly, the pigmentation is decent but the longevity is quite
poor. The swatch that I tried literally got wiped off without any hassle. For
eye makeup, I prefer mine to be smudge-proof, if not waterproof. Probably, this
can be used for an everyday basis or you might need some eyeshadow to set the
creaminess of the eyeliner in place.
When I
initially saw the tube of this cleanser, I assumed it’s going to be a peel-off charcoal
face pack. I’ve been stocking upon charcoal products since last summer.
Although, charcoal products can be extremely drying on to the skin, this one
leaves the skin soft. I have only tried it once and as such there’s nothing
which I didn’t like about it. Once I empty out my other facial cleansers, I’d
definitely start using this on a regular basis. Probably, I should keep it as a
resort for the upcoming humid weather.
I’m not
really a fan of samples because I hardly use them and generally, they end up
lying at some corner of my house, completed neglected. I’ve never heard the
brand Kara Scentric before but on sniffing the sample, I really liked its
fragrance. This might go into my office bag in case I want to feel extra
special. In collaboration with Kara Scentric, Fab Bag team got its buyers a
discount of 20%. I’m yet to make up mind if I want to order a full sized
perfume from this brand. Once I start using it, maybe I’d develop a clear idea.
Ayorma Deep Exfoliator
If I remember
it right, we did receive a sample size sunscreen or cream from this brand some
time in past. Also, last month there was an exfoliator from Tvakh which I love
lately! This one is a bonus product and you may receive a different product. The
fragrance is refreshing and quite pleasant. The exfoliating granules are minute
and it can work well on combination to oily skin but avoid it in case you have
a few pimples emerging here and there.
