St. D'vence Autumn Edition Body Moisturizer | Review, Price & Buy Online

Hi Guys,
Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

As much as my facial skin is oily in summers; my overall skin goes super dry in winters. I’ve tried a lot of drugstore lotions and oils but they never sustained after a couple of hours. My hands look so dry that a lot of texture can be detected and it has always caused embarrassment to me since school time. Whatever I apply, my hands look parched and this is the reason why I have to liberally apply a lotion just before I take product photography in which my hands are being clicked.

Recently, I received St. D’vence Autumn Edition Body Moisturizer. To be honest, I had no big expectations out of it because not a lot of body lotions have had worked for me. So, without further adieu, let’s begin with the review -

TGL on Packaging:
St. D’vence Autumn Edition Body Moisturizer comes in a flip top open, plastic bottle. It is compact in size and you can travel with it on an everyday basis as well. The one I have is the pre-launch version; I think the packaging which is available now on Amazon has pump dispenser.

TGL’s Experience with St. D’vence Autumn Edition Body Moisturizer:
For winters, my skin gets ruthlessly dry. A lot of the times, I happen to develop itching because of dryness and the skin literally flakes off. I’m guilty of not using any lotion or body oil and one of the reasons for it is the fact that in past, I tried everything but nothing helped in keeping my skin hydrated for a full day. So when I received this, I wasn’t sure if it can be of any help or not. I had zero expectations but let’s see how it fared for me.

Since it’s a lotion, it is used by me, my mother, my father and my cousin; in short, it is a unisex product. The fragrance of this lotion is fresh and not too overpowering. If we talk about the consistency, it is quite thick. In fact, it takes some efforts for the lotion to come out from the bottle. But thankfully, the post launch packaging has a pump dispenser. It spreads easily onto the skin and it gives a beautiful hydration to the skin. My hands look so much better after I apply this. One thing which appealed to me the most is that, it is enriching and hydrating; yet there’s no stickiness or oiliness left afterwards.

I detest the feel of lotion because they leave behind stickiness, plus it takes time for them to seep into the skin. But St. D’vence lotion gets absorbed into the skin within no time. I could literally feel soft skin; and that my friends never happened for me before! I don’t think it lasted me a full day; I did feel a need to reapply within the evening but it was still in good condition than the flakiness I’ve seen on usual days.

Rating: 4.9/5

TGL Recommendation:
I would definitely recommend this! It’s affordable, does justice to all its claims and works miraculously as a lotion for dry skin type.

  1. The ingredients list look super impressive with argan oil and avocado butter as the first two ingredients. And price is also affordable. Will give it a try...

  2. Seems like a good one. Although I may not use on face as it has isopropyl mistriate.

Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.
Let’s dive into the review without any digressions!

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!

"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
When I started my journey as a blogger, I shied away from being captured in pictures. For some odd reason, I was always missing from school pictures, group pictures and a lot of other pictures. On top of that, my introvert personality stopped me from doing outfit posts on a regular basis. So until now, majority of my blog pictures revolved around flatlays and product photography. #ComfortZoneAtItsBest πŸ˜‚

In fact, my phone’s memory contains more pictures of flatlays than it has of me. This is also one of the reasons why my WhatsApp DP stays without a picture. P.s. no, I haven't blocked you πŸ™ˆ

Now that I feel that I’ve improved a lot in terms of my flatlay photography, I incurred a realization that aesthetics of picture touches a top notch when there’s human element incorporated. Not necessarily my face but probably my hand, hair …
