Skincare Routine for this Festive Season | Combination + Oily Skin Type

Hi Guys 😊😊

We are amidst a month which is full of festivals each week! And in case you’re still seeking a skincare routine to look bomb(dot)com, then consider your dilemmas resolved. Today, I shall elaborate upon my personal skincare for looking super glowing, with a healthy & pimple free skin. Might be that this post shall turn out small but who cares! It’s all about solving your worries than fighting the SEO rule of Content Ratio = to Page Coding. *Meh* 😏

Before beginning, let me first elaborate upon my skin type. This will ensure that you can understand what product would work well for you if it’s turning out good for me. My skin is combination to oily; it gets hyper active to produce oil within summers whereas in winters I get dry patches. Also, just a little disclaimer – some things might work for me & they might do no miracle for you. Make sure to do a patch test beforehand. I know, I’ve heard this statement before a lot many times and you’d be like “Girl, hand and facial skin is like sisters from different misters”! 😐 I get your concern, that’s why I advise you to patch test onto your neck region rather than wrist. So, with that we begin today’s post –

STEP 1: AHA Glow – Skin Rejuvenating Face Wash

AHA Glow is one of the best facial cleansers that I return back to when my skin strives to look good. It’s like that one remedy I know which would stop me from getting more acne or treating ones which already exist onto my face. Now, I’ve tried Cetaphil and that expensive lot but AHA Glow is an Indian manufacturing by Torrent Pharma. It contains – Aloe Vera, Glycolic Acid, Vitamin E & Gel Base. What I love about this is it cleans off dirt and keeps away the excess sebum.

👉Rejuvenates the skin by encouraging the shedding of old and dead skin cells.
👉Reduces the number of superficial wrinkles
👉Improves skin texture and tone
👉Unblocks and cleanses the pores

STEP 2: Greenberry Organics Mud Ash 3 in 1 Face

This is a multipurpose product which you can use as a cleanser, scrub & mask. I love it exclusively for masking purposes. It makes the skin soft & smooth with immediate radiance endowed. Also, it doesn’t leave the skin dry and makes it perfect not only for oily skin but normal to combination skin as well. For hydration purposes, it has aloe vera and jojoba oil into it. Thankfully, this one is parabens and sulphate free. Since Mud Ash also comprises Tea Tree, this makes it perfect for keeping acne at bay which erupts only when their emergence should have been abolished!

STEP 3: Fuschia’s Pomegranate Pearls Face & Body Exfoliating Scrub

There’s a reason as to why I prefer masking first and then scrubbing. For a good exfoliated skin, it’s always necessary to keep the skin supple and moisturized so that any dirt or clogging can be easily removed. Now, scrubs won’t completely get you rid of black or white heads but scrubbing for a minute or two would create your face as a canvas wherein extraction would be really easy. Fuschia’s Pomegranate Pearls Face Scrub has an amazing bubblegum fragrance which I love sniffing upon. Also, the base of it is really hydrating but leaves no grease on the face post washing off. The exfoliating granules are really minute which makes it suitable for acne prone or sensitive skin. But please remember, in case you have a pimple at its full bloom, DO NOT use an exfoliator. Wait for few days till it naturally subsides.

STEP 4: Himalaya Herbals Oil Free Gel Cream [Day Use] (for Moisturizing)

I’ve never liked those creams that not merely cater hydration but also become one of the woes which give you glimmer face with sweat! And having oily skin, you don’t want more oil slathered onto your face. This is why, a gel based moisturizer or cleanser works best for an oily skin. Sometime back, I picked up this oil free gel from Himalaya Stores and I've loved it's formulation. It works really well as a base for your everyday makeup and in case you dont wanna use a primer on an everyday basis, this can work as an easy replacement to help you in blending that makeup flawlessly! STEP 5: LOA’s Miracle Oil [Night Use]

True to its name, this facial oil is indeed miraculous! On days when I've seen my skin getting attacked by more than two pimples, I know my weapon for the night. Application is so easy for this, all you need to do is take out few drops and massage it onto your face for a minute. Trust me, it has helped in taming and calming my acne every single time; almost to 50%. It nourishes your skin at the time you don't have to go out and worry about sweating. It does smell a little weird but the amount of results that are acquired after its usage, stops me never from picking this product. It's completely natural and suitable for all skin type. Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness 😂😂
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.
Let’s dive into the review without any digressions!

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!

Exploring A World Within: Ethnic Outfit Ideas - OOTD - Monsoon Diaries

"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
When I started my journey as a blogger, I shied away from being captured in pictures. For some odd reason, I was always missing from school pictures, group pictures and a lot of other pictures. On top of that, my introvert personality stopped me from doing outfit posts on a regular basis. So until now, majority of my blog pictures revolved around flatlays and product photography. #ComfortZoneAtItsBest 😂

In fact, my phone’s memory contains more pictures of flatlays than it has of me. This is also one of the reasons why my WhatsApp DP stays without a picture. P.s. no, I haven't blocked you 🙈

Now that I feel that I’ve improved a lot in terms of my flatlay photography, I incurred a realization that aesthetics of picture touches a top notch when there’s human element incorporated. Not necessarily my face but probably my hand, hair …
