Skincarevilla Facial Mask: Anti Acne + Rose Coffee | Price, Review + Buy Online

Hola Peeps 😊

With writing so many reviews, I’ve gradually developed a slight understanding as to read and understand the ingredients list as mentioned on the packaging of a product. Some lists seem precise and we assume it incorporates everything natural. But on the contrary, it’s incomplete! And because of not-so-rigid laws, some brands easily get away with it. Finding that one gem which stays true to what it claims is hard. Some time back I realized that the shampoo my father bought, because of homeopathic association since years, actually is endowed with high amounts of SLS. Though the SLS would make my hair have volume thanks to the frizz it endows but it leads to gradual hair loss.

But of course the fault lies within us who feel tempted to pick attractive packaging and reading the ingredient list only later once it’s bought home. Why would I accuse others when I myself am guilty of the same? For the love of my skin, within the longer run, I replaced so many things within my lifestyle, especially the skincare picks. I may call my exploration getting fruitful results when I initially used Skincarevilla Powdered Facial Cleansers. I’ve reviewed them already in case you haven’t noticed. To know that what you’re feeding to your body is nothing but nutrients, does make you feel good about yourself. And as I’ve said this before somewhere, “No makeup will last eternity, except a healthy skin”!

Amazed by the cleansers, Mr. J decided to surprise me with some of the facial masks by Skincarevilla. Initially I wasn’t aware about this surprise but then to make choices as to which one I need to buy, I was asked for help. Call it bursting of surprises! πŸ˜‚ Anyways, my package arrived to me in a usual courier box which consisted of the beautiful shimmery box with a ribbon tied, some paper shavings and a handwritten note from our lovely founder of Skincarevilla – Sonali. πŸ˜ƒ I think there’s a minimal charge for these gift wrapping papers but you should definitely try gifting it to your friends, family or for that matter your own SELF!

Let’s hop onto the review. πŸ’œπŸ–€

Anti Acne Face Mask:

The Anti Acne Mask has slightly greenish colour to it which I presume is due to the neem powder added within. Neem works as an anti-bacterial ingredient which helps in fighting away bacteria. Because of monsoon, the bacterium becomes extra active and incorporating neem to your skincare regime is a must at this time span, especially if your skin is acne prone. The mask smells of herbs and predominantly of neem. For application, I squeeze in some lime juice and Cucumber Mist by Greenberry Organics. You can also add milk, honey or water as per what your skin’s requirement is. During winters, I prefer to amalgamate honey with my facial masks.

Ingredients: Kaolin Clay, Bentonite Clay, Rhassoul Clay, Neem Powder, Tulsi Powder and Tea Tree Essential Oil

Directions for Usage: Apply a thin layer of face pack mixed with plain water. Let it dry naturally. Splash cold water and gradually remove face pack. Do not let it go inside the mouth. Please do a patch test before use.

Price: INR 250

Net Weight: 30 grams

My Experience:

Clay is a boon in case you have an oily skin as it helps in absorbing excess sebum and clarification of the skin. When I noticed three different clays added (Kaolin, Bentonite & Rhassoul) within this face mask, I felt super happy! πŸ˜„ When applied onto the face, it gives slightly cooling sensation and some tingling sensation can be incurred but that subsides within a minute or two. Since its all natural, I don’t restrict myself on keeping it for only 20 minutes. At times I apply this and start working, only realizing to take it off post one hour and it never caused any side effect. Also, as discussed before Neem & Tulsi acts as your shield to acne/bacteria. Whereas Tea Tree Essential oil is exclusively dedicated for warding off pimples or acne. With consistent use, I’ve noticed a reduction in acne, although no one can stop the hormonal ones that I acquire on those days of the month. But then I take it as an opportunity to use it again so that the skin’s healing can take place faster. Lastly, the simple packaging is what pronounces ‘NO NONSENSE’! It does what it claims and I would love to restock on this one. 😊

Rose Coffee Face Mask:

Ingredients: Kaolin Clay, Bentonite Clay, Rhassoul Clay, Rose Petals Powder, Organic Coffee, Oats, Almond and Rose Petals.

Directions for Use: Apply a thin layer of face pack mixed with plain water. Let it dry naturally. Splash cold water and gradually remove face pack. Do not let it go inside the mouth. Please do a patch test before use.

Price: INR 325

Net Weight: 25 grams

My Experience:
I am really fascinated to coffee, although because of my acne issues, I try to reduce intake of coffee as much as possible. But having coffee within your products definitely does no harm! Infact it works as a great exfoliator to your skin. In case you seek for a body scrub, all you gotta do is mix in coffee plus sugar granules and slight amount of coconut oil & and you’re sorted. Anyways, this one right here has Organic Coffee and a fragrance which coffee lovers would definitely fall for. When I applied the mask, it was slightly crumbly, of course due to coffee. Once it dried, I could literally see shreds of rose petals! Rose as you know does its job for calming any kind of skin irritation. It gives a subtle moisturization and immediate radiance to the facial skin.

(P.s. this was customized based on my preference & you can get one for yourself too!) 😊

Shedding away all my laziness πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks.
