Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (pearl)

Hello people,

I had been eyeing Revlon Lipsticks from quite some time, but being a student I don’t like to spend 500 bucks on a lipstick. I always look for alternative affordable options because firstly I haven’t started earning as of now and secondly there are so many affordable options available so why to burn a hole in the pocket. Perhaps once I start earning, I can indulge myself in buying fancy stuffs; I hope you know what I mean. This lipstick that I will be reviewing has been gifted to me by one of my relative as she knows how fond I am of makeup and I was truly excited to try this out.

430: Soft-silver Rose is a beautiful soft pink shade which has shimmers into it and these shimmers are visible even when I wiped off its swatches from my wrist while clicking pictures for blog. Basically, like a pearl, this lipstick gives somewhat a silver shade and provides slight duality in the lipstick color. The texture of the lipstick is soft like a lip balm; it does not settle into fine lines and application of it is quite smooth. There’s definitely no requirement of wearing a lip balm underneath, the lipstick on its own is very moisturizing. Although in the bullet the color appears quite pink but on lips, it gives more of shimmers and soft pinkish hue. Those of you, who look for soft pinks, would love this color. One swipe isn’t enough; I swiped it for three times to build up on the color intensity. Lastly, the staying power of it is not recommendable at all; maybe because it is the pearl finish variant and not a matte one. It so easily gets swiped off from the lips, leaving behind no traces of color but only shimmers. It would look gorgeous on fair to wheatish skin tone.

When I first swatched this color, honestly I did not like it. Later after few days I tried it again and somehow it appealed to me. The color is slightly tricky to pull off, but it is apt for a dewy fresh spring look. On lips, the shimmers aren’t too prominent but still are apparent.

Swatches-

Overall, I’d say it will be best for day time looks or with bold smokey eye. For dried and chapped lipped ladies, this might provide adequate moisturization though. But if you don’t like shimmery lipsticks, stay away from this shade.

Sugar Ace of Face Foundation Stick in 25 Macchiato - Swatches & Review

Shedding away all my laziness 😂😂
Here I am today, scribbling a blog post on one of my recent makeup purchases from the brand Sugar Cosmetics. In case you guys don’t know, I was awestruck by makeup hoarding addiction again and ended up buying more than what I initially intended. Although I had my eyes glued on their Smudge Me Not Lipstick in the shade Wine & Shine (Sangria), I also managed to pick up their much-hyped Ace of Face Foundation Stick! This particularly base product was first launched with 6 shades but now they have introduced 22 shades that will go absolutely well with almost all Indian skin tone. And no, that isn’t just a false claim like another well known Indian brand which we’ve seen since our childhood.
Let’s dive into the review without any digressions!

MamaEarth: Shampoo + Conditioner Review | Happy Heads & No More Tangles

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
We all love our tresses! In order to sustain a healthy crown of hair, we keep on hunting for homemade DIY recipes or a shampoo that resolves the prolonged hair fall problem. Is it merely me who has been seeing a lot of hair fall since a year or two? I’ve altered my shampoo to figure out what is the actual cause for the same and it appears as if the inherent genes and my eating pattern is what causes a lot of shedding of hair. Recently, I tried the Mamaearth’s shampoo and conditioner duo which I believe was the part of their Anti-Hair Fall kit which is priced at INR 999. The kit intrigued me a lot and I’m glad I got to try out two products from that kit so that I don’t end up spending a thousand bucks. If you’re wondering how these products fared for me, stay tuned and keep on reading!

Exploring A World Within: Ethnic Outfit Ideas - OOTD - Monsoon Diaries

"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
When I started my journey as a blogger, I shied away from being captured in pictures. For some odd reason, I was always missing from school pictures, group pictures and a lot of other pictures. On top of that, my introvert personality stopped me from doing outfit posts on a regular basis. So until now, majority of my blog pictures revolved around flatlays and product photography. #ComfortZoneAtItsBest 😂

In fact, my phone’s memory contains more pictures of flatlays than it has of me. This is also one of the reasons why my WhatsApp DP stays without a picture. P.s. no, I haven't blocked you 🙈

Now that I feel that I’ve improved a lot in terms of my flatlay photography, I incurred a realization that aesthetics of picture touches a top notch when there’s human element incorporated. Not necessarily my face but probably my hand, hair …
