Hello people,
I’ve got
thin hair and the natural texture usually varies from straight to wavy. With
high amounts of chemical in every content, plus degrading water quality, I’ve
always heard people around me talk about their once luscious tresses and how
they’ve been affected due to various factors. This post will cater to people
whose major concern is thinning hair and how to sustain slight volume into it.
I shall be sharing few tips that I’ve come across and would like to share it
with you. So, without further blabbering, let’s begin.
1. Swear by this that you’d never
incorporate moisturizing or conditioning shampoo in your hair care routine.
Conditioners would weigh down your hair and devoid you of oomph you get post
hair wash. In summers, avoid conditioners. The natural oil from your scalp will
definitely be visible on first or second day of hair wash, especially in places
such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
2. Do not sleep on your hair tied in low
pony or open hair, especially damp or wet hair. This is gonna sleek down your
hair against your head which is definitely not what we intend to attain here.
3. Instead, tie your hair in a high bun.
This will lift your hair roots in upward direction while you sleep, so that the
next day when you open them, they will have more volume and slight texture due
to hair bun.
4. Use naturally curling means to
provide texture to your hair.
5. Use baby powder or dry shampoo for
removing grease from scalp. Not only does it hide away your “Dirty Little Secret” as stated in BBlunt’s Dry Shampoo song, but also provide slight volume to
your crown portion.
6. If you’ve got a combination of thin
and straight hair, then avoid hair straightening irons. Provide life to your
tresses by scrunching or curling your hair.
7. Keep scrunching products in your
vanity because they are ideally meant for your hair. I personally use-
Tony & Guys Sea Salt Texturizing
Spray, reviewed
here-
& BBlunt High Definition Curl
Defining Leave-in Cream, reviewed here
8. If your pony-tail is too thin then
ditch those for messy buns.
9. Tease your hair well if you intend to
tie it.
10. Lastly, never compare yourself or
your hair with others’. Be happy with what you’ve blessed. Obsessively worrying
about anything is never gonna better things but perhaps might negatively affect
you.
Remember, you are beautiful the way
you are. Your imperfections provide you with an individuality which segregates
you from being like everyone else. Beautiful heart and smile is all it takes to
make a person’s day.
Love,
Bhawna D.
