Quick Make-up Look for School/College (Summer Edition)

Hey Guys!

Tomorrow isn’t weekend, yet I am awake and watching “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”. This movie is so unbelievably entertaining that I can watch it again and again and still not get bored of it. Anyways, since summer is here, I usually don’t wanna invest into elaborate makeup steps as sweat grosses me out and my face is oily. In summers the easiest makeup I’d do would be to use a compact, fill in my eyebrows and use a matte lipstick.

So today, I shall update you about budget friendly products that can be used for creating a quick makeup look, especially for beginners. Let’s begin-

·         I start off on a cleansed face and prep the skin by applying sunscreen. Then it’s time for the base. I apply few dots of foundation, exclusively to areas wherein I have acne scars. For summers, you can ditch the foundation and use a good BB cream by brands such as The Body Shop, Lakme or Garnier. Use whatever caters to your skin type because makeup is gonna ruin everything if you use any product that isn’t designed especially for your skin type. Currently I haven’t finished the Spawake BB cream so that’s the one I use and for foundation I always pick up the Essence Stay All Day Foundation (INR 499/-) which thankfully does not make my skin look fake. For setting the base, I use Maybelline Clear Glow All in One Fairness compact.

·         Next up, I use the Lotus Colour Kick kajal (INR 199/-) on my eyelids. I do not line my waterline as it makes my eyes watery and it somehow makes my eyes look small. Another roll on kajal that I really liked is Faces Magnet Eyes. Both these kajals have great colour payoff and does not budge away easily.
·

·         Then I grab my Maybelline The Nudes Palette (INR 899/-) and use the colour which is in first row and second last from the right, for bronzing up my face. This eye-shadow colour goes perfectly well for my skin tone, without making it look as if I’ve got mud on my face.

·         For giving slight colour to my cheeks, I use Maybelline Cheeky Glow (INR 299/-) in the shade “Creamy Cinnamon”. I don’t like to look clownish; hence I like to restrict my blush shade to peachy shades.

For lips, in summer I like to use a matte lip colour. The best matte liquid lipstick that I found and which is also low in budget is- Incolor Matte Me Liquid lipstick (INR 250-280).

Voila, the look is complete! J

Comment down below what is your essential makeup product for summers that you can’t skip at all.

Until Next time,
Take Care :) :)

My Cutesy Stash - Miniso Haul Unleash!

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
Side Story - I intentionally changed the font of this blog post; reason as such is nothing but I decided to break-free from the monotonous font type. But unfortunately, the font decided to bug me later on so I ended up with the same comforting font.
In today's blog post, I will be sharing with you all my recent haul from the store of Miniso. For people who haven't encountered a Miniso outlet as of yet, Miniso is a well known Japanese brand which brings to you a lot of quirky and cute stuff which is reasonably priced and none of your money will go wasted, trust me! They have an amazing collection of utility products from the genre of beauty, kitchenware, stationery, electronics, accessories, etc. Moreover, the prices of these products start from INR 150 and the maximum, I believe, is around INR 1000, that too for PU bags.

Recently, I happen to discover another Miniso Delhi store which was mere 2 metro stations away from where I live.…

Jeju Volcanic Lava Self-Heating Clay Mask - Review

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

Apparently, there are lots on skincare brands which are available internationally and I’m yet to try them out. Some of these brands, enclosed within my wish list include The Body Shop, The Faces Shop, Clinique, etc. Thankfully, Nykaa was running an offer on The Faces Shop skincare range wherein you could grab a full-sized freebie product. While I was surfing the catalogue, I encountered the “self-heating” mask which kept me intrigued enough to add it to my cart. I kid you not, there have been times when I’ve legit done window shopping online as well! 😃😄 I see trillion of things and later I’m like – “Do I really need this?”
And the mind always answers – “Of course not, girl!” 😂
A lot of the times, I force myself to hear the sensible talk of my mind. But sometimes, the heart takes over and it springs in joy to say “Woah! That’s too pristine to be denied”. This is exactly how I ended up purchasing Jeju Volcanic Lava Self-Heating Clay Mask

Bloggers Event: #PoutItRight with Jaquline USA's Lip Pops Matte Lip Tints

Hi Guys Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
Last month, I was invited by the team of New U (Dabur subsidiary) on their launch of Lip Pop Matte Tints. I’ve been to their events before and previous one, I presume, was the release of their BB Stroke Nail Enamel. Now they have also incorporated some vibrant matte shades by the name ‘Back2School’. I must warn you to go visit their stores ASAP as this range has a gorgeous mint shade which I’ve never seen amongst affordable Indian brands!

The event took place in Smoke House Deli at DLF Place Mall Saket (Delhi) in the afternoon. The place had an amazing decor with quirky walls and an interplay of white and grey theme running everywhere. With around 50 bloggers, we got to try out different shades of Lip Pops and nail lacquers that were recently launched in the New U store. I was so excited that I got rid of my texture nail paint then & there and tried the shades that were placed at the counter.
