Oriflame HairX Volume Boost Leave-in Conditioner | Price & Review

✍Guest Contribution: by Zeba Noor

Hi Everyone..
Being a Skin and Hair-care enthusiast, I was searching for products within the Oriflame catalogue which would make my skin and hair both happy and healthy. While scrolling through the pages, I read "BECAUSE BIG, BEAUTIFUL & BOUNCY IS ALWAYS ON TREND". I couldn't agree more to it and came across the range called HairX which has a plenty of hair care products. Having fine, thin hair (thanks to my hormones), I  keep on hunting and craving for products and homemade remedies/ DIYs which would make them look thicker and voluminous. When I saw HairX Volume Boost Shampoo and Conditioner, I knew I had to grab it asap! I had never tried a leave-in-conditioner and this one claims to detangle and give hair an instant volume.

And today I am here with my review about Oriflame HairX Volume Boost Leave-In Conditioner for you all. Lets get straight in to the review zone! 😊

Shelf Life: 3 years

Packaging: I must say I was really impressed with the packaging of this conditioner. It comes in an off-white, glossy plastic, spray bottle which is really light weight and has a tapered shape; narrow at the top, it gets broader towards the bottom. The product is leak proof and travel friendly. There is enough product in one spritz and the bottle is really handy.

Consistency: Unlike pack conditioners which are heavy and thick, the consistency of leave in conditioners is thinner and less viscous. This conditioner also has a liquid-like non sticky consistency.

My Experience:
When this conditioner arrived, I was really keen to try it out. I wanted to go straight in to the shower and get the volume I always crave for without even checking all other products. The idea of leave-in-conditioner really intrigued me and as impatient as a hungry kid, I rushed in to the shower and used it on my hair. I couldn't wait to wash my hair with a shampoo as I was so eager to use it. I had really high expectations with this product. My hair are generally very soft and shiny even without using conditioners.  One thing I just don't have but this conditioner claims is "Boosted Volume". Each second in the shower seemed as long as eternity and finally the conditioning part came. I fell in love with the juicy sweet frangrance it has but that was not something I would prioritise the most even though it matters a lot. My expectations and excitement suppresed all of a sudden when I started to realise that my hair were not actually getting detangled as they're supposed to. I waited for my hair to get air dried and once it finally happened, I got highly disappointed.

A conditioner, especially a leave in conditioner should prevent hair from becoming frizzy in the first place but this one rather made my hair frizzier. My hair which would generally look soft and manageable unanticipatedly became a big mess and a mass of frizz.  Instead of nourishing, hydrating and detangling, it made my hair look damaged, frizzy and life-less all of a sudden. My hair would feel better without a conditioner rather than applying this one. I got extremely worried if it would always remain the same because the horror you get when an unexpected and bad change occurs is terrifying. I wouldn't do injustice to my lovely soft hair strands again by using this conditioner. If this product means to add more frizz to hair, then I doubt if I do not know the correct meaning of hair volume.

▶ Good fragrance
▶ Great and classy packaging
▶ Light weight and travel friendly

▶ Doesn't detangle strands
▶ Instead of making hair voluminous, makes it frizzy
▶ Makes hair look dull and brittle
▶ Adds no shine to hair
▶ Does nothing what a conditioner is supposed to do
▶ Hair seem lifeless (literally)

Is it affordable?
No, definitely not. It is a really expensive product according to me because it does nothing and charges us a lot.

 Ratings: 1.0 ⭐✰✰✰✰
(for the classy packaging and sweet scent)

Will I recommend it?
How can I? I regret buying this product and would never ever suggest anybody to give it a try.

Final Verdict: Not worth buying at all..

My Cutesy Stash - Miniso Haul Unleash!

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
Side Story - I intentionally changed the font of this blog post; reason as such is nothing but I decided to break-free from the monotonous font type. But unfortunately, the font decided to bug me later on so I ended up with the same comforting font.
In today's blog post, I will be sharing with you all my recent haul from the store of Miniso. For people who haven't encountered a Miniso outlet as of yet, Miniso is a well known Japanese brand which brings to you a lot of quirky and cute stuff which is reasonably priced and none of your money will go wasted, trust me! They have an amazing collection of utility products from the genre of beauty, kitchenware, stationery, electronics, accessories, etc. Moreover, the prices of these products start from INR 150 and the maximum, I believe, is around INR 1000, that too for PU bags.

Recently, I happen to discover another Miniso Delhi store which was mere 2 metro stations away from where I live.…

3 Best Toners for Combination to Oily/Acne Prone Skin

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨

Today’s post is an in-depth discussion on toners in general, what’s been trending lately and inexpensive toners that are available in case you have a skin type that synchronizes with mine. Now, it’s as hard to classify my skin into one genre as a Myer’s personality test’s results. In short, probably those given two options won’t be enough to understanding my personality. Anyways, let’s cut short weird examples and focus on to the topic that has been raised. Naturally, to initiate further this discussion, we need to discuss what a toner is and why we need one in our lives.

WHAT IS A TONER? Male or female, we are entering a no-gender biased zone. The concept behind toners is that the facial skin, even after the process of cleansing, is left with trails of pollution, bacteria, dust or for that fact, some makeup. Moreover, the harshness of chemical components endowed within the cleanser may affect the pH level of your skin. So in order to revers…

Cute Box March 2018 Edition - Women’s Era | Unboxing & Review

Hi Guys, Welcome back to the Glistening Lane ✨
Is anyone out here, bitten by the bug which is commonly known as the hoarding disorder? Did I just hear a ‘yes’? Well, you’re not alone in this because you’ve got my back, girl. Be it lipsticks, makeup products, skincare, cute packaging, empty bottles or containers, nail paints, stationery and what not; I love storing them all. My mind would weave a scenario wherein I’d really need these. There are times when I would assume that a particular container will be using for some DIY project. But that hardly happens. Currently, I’m thinking about making a terrarium. They are hell expensive on websites and I ain’t going to spend that much on mere plants. If I do manage to create one, I’d probably also make a blog post dedicated exclusively on that. Today we shall be unboxing an affordable jewellery subscription box which has been available in India since few months.
So as I was saying, jewellery is bae! Be it rings, bracelets or earrings; you will…
